By now you have figured out that it is impossible to sit and chat with your friends while chasing your wonderful mobile toddler – remember you couldn’t wait for them to walk! The challenges of parenting have changed but the time to connect and discuss strategies and emotions around your relationship with your child is limited.

Families begin the class together in The Learning Center with a short circle time lead by a facilitator. Toddlers will then move to the Theater for a ½ hour of supervised play and activities. Parents/caregivers will then have time to discuss the joys and struggles of life with a toddler. Discussion will be lead by a facilitator but follow the interests and needs of the group.

Small Hands, Big Ideas: Art Appreciation

For Children ages 3-5 years old

Calling all preschoolers for open-ended art experiences discovering color and texture! Each week children will be given te opportunity to experiment with an inspiration color using varied materials such as paints, clay, pastels, and more. We will begin with a discussion of an authentic piece of art followed by an open-ended art project and will finish with sharing time.

Hand in Hand, Music Together®

For children ages newborn to 5 years old

Hand in Hand Music offers Music Together classes for children ages 0 to 5 years. Our fun and lively Music Together classes build on your child's natural enthusiasm for music and movement. Central to the Music Together approach is that young children learn best from the powerful role model of parents/caregivers who are actively making music. The research-based program brings families together by providing a rich musical environment filled with developmentally appropriate activities that facilitate family participation both in the classroom and at home.

Baby Signs

Baby Signs: Infant Toddler Sign Language Class

For Children ages 6-18 months

Children have an innate desire to communicate with others, especially their parents. Teaching sign language to a hearing child allows them to communicate their thoughts and needs before they are able to talk. Sign language creates a communication “bridge” to fill in the gap between a child’s comprehension and verbal communication.

Meet and gather in Urban Toddler’s unique play space and then retreat to a private classroom for games and music teaching simple sign language.

Bilingual Fun: Parent/Child Spanish Class

Ages 12 months - age 5
Bilingual Fun Spanish classes are fun, interactive, and educational. Children and caregivers will be introduced to the Spanish language through music, movement, stories, and hands on activities. Research continually shows the benefits of early language instruction, and Bilingual Fun provides an exciting head start to language learning! These Spanish classes offer vibrant, joyful, and engaging instruction which encourages and facilitates the language development.

Come join this fun class and explore the German language and culture with your child(ren). Through songs, puppets, stories, snack, art, games and movement, your child(ren) will experience and discover the joys of learning another language. This class will be a full immersion class, held in German, with instructions in English as needed. It is appropriate for children with or without prior German knowledge.

Yoga for You

Yoga for You

This beginner’s yoga class is appropriate for women in all stages of pregnancy, those new to yoga, and experienced students wanting to get back into practice. Many women have found that the gentle stretches, movements and poses of yoga help maintain and enhance strength, muscle tone and agility while reducing pelvic, back and other discomforts that life brings. Prior yoga experience is not required.

Jump Start

Jump Start for Toddlers

Based on proven methods, this fun, dynamic learning opportunity is designed and lead by certified teachers. Activities such as bowling and fishing for letters, “I Spy”, cookie cutters and Crazy 8’s help prepare toddlers for a structured school environment, while fun group activities increase social skills through interaction with kids and teachers.
Families can choose a Jump Start Reading schedule that works best for them – attend all of the sessions or only select dates. Dates and payments will be confirmed at time of registration.
