Many parents worry about the effect a new baby will or can have on their existing children. A little bit of preparation can help with the arrival of the new addition. Class will prepare you and your child(ren) for the birth of a new baby and the changes in your family's day-to-day routines. Children are asked to bring a stuffed animal or doll/buddy with them.

The first part of the seminar, children and parents will learn together about their soon to be sibling. After 30 minutes, children will leave the seminar and have supervised play by one of My Urban Toddler's staff in the play space. Parents will then be able to talk about other issues that may occur when bringing home a new baby or new babies

Topics Include:

• Learning about gentle touch with the new baby
• What babies can and cannot do
• What to expect when they visit mom in the hospital
• Strategies to help the whole family adjust to the new addition
