What is the story behind My Urban Toddler? When Rosa had Lauren (her first daughter) she struggled to find places and people who could relate to what she and her husband, as new parents, were experiencing. She had tried going to the usual places, book stores for story time, classes at the local churches, etc. But somehow, the community and conversations never evolved more than just hello and how are you. So her wish was to find somewhere they could go with their child(ren) that was completely age appropriate, clean, organized and not cartoony, while being sophisticated and fun.
Rosa started looking and started dreaming about that special place when Lauren was about 6 months old.
So, through the eyes of a mother and an adult who craved adult conversation, great products and a place to educate families, Rosa created My Urban Toddler in 2006. MUT is the solution for children too young or too small to play at the typical play space locations. It is both a mingling place for parents and an imagination-driven destination for toddlers. Infants and toddlers age 0 through 5 are able to safely explore activities using fine and gross motor skills throughout the custom designed play areas. As a former architect, she designed a miniature city (where URBAN came from in My Urban Toddler's name) for children to explore and play.
This place was designed for adults as well as children... Among the many features, there is access to premier shopping, classes, a private nursing room, lactation consultants, car seat technicians, coffee and wireless Internet access in the cafe and a place to have conversations about kids, changes, relationships...life!
Someone said to Rosa, "When you have children, your whole life changes...", she now sees what they meant! So to celebrate these amazing times, My Urban Toddler is the ideal location for special events. Visit the Party page for more information including available party packages and times.
When My Urban Toddler opened, Rosa and her husband had no idea how big MUT would get OR how big their family would be as well! 2 years after MUT opened, Jessica was born and joined Lauren to play at My Urban Toddler!

And then on December 20, 2009 Allison arrived in time to celebrate Christmas with her sisters!
And finally, on May 29, 2011, Michael Lee was born... Yes, they are done!
Thank you for visiting My Urban Toddler!
